High Protein Meatless Pasta Recipe

Ready for a high protein delicious plant-based meal? This pasta is simple, hearty, and meatless. This easy recipe is perfect for last-minute lunch/dinner or weekly meal prep. The spaghetti noodle I used is by Barilla, and it's packed with protein.


What You'll Need to Make this Recipe:

-Chickpea spaghetti noodles (Barilla brand)

  • 11g of protein per every 2 oz serving

-Marinara sauce

  • I know homemade is better, but store-bought sauce is the way to go during a busy work week (I use the Kirkland brand).

-Meatless ground meat (the Impossible foods brand).

  • 19g of protein per every 4 oz serving

-Maple syrup or sugar

  • Cuts the acidity

-Mushroom seasoning

  • If you do not have this, use garlic salt and onion powder

-Garlic

-Onion


Start with cooking the pasta. Follow the instructions on the box. Also, set aside 1 cup of pasta water (if in case you need it for the sauce). Set aside the pasta until you are ready to put everything together.


Important note: Please do not overcook the pasta; a timer would be handy when cooking your pasta. You do not want mushy spaghetti.


Serve With:

-Pair this with a simple side salad of your choice

-Garlic bread (homemade or store-bought)
